How a signal is made

Five steps, and every signal runs the same gate.

Find

Candidates come from GitHub itself — trending, communities, and the channel's own digging.

Fetch

Every candidate is pulled from the GitHub API: stars, licence, last commit, open issues.

Check

Is it maintained? Archived? Does it actually do what its description claims? Anything that fails the check doesn't get a video.

Score

Surviving repos get a signal score out of 100. Higher means a stronger find — a small sharp tool can outscore a famous one.

Publish

One short vertical reel per repo, logged in the archive and sent to the channels.

What we won't do

The standing rules of the channel.

  • Recommend a repo that wasn't actually checked that run.
  • Hype a repo beyond its real state — stars, licence, maintenance.
  • Claim a repository Repomaniac didn't author. Every signal credits the real owner.
  • Dress a repo up as news when it isn't.

Who runs this

One person, under no name for now. That's a deliberate choice — the channel is the voice and the repo is the subject. If you want to reach it, the channel is on YouTube, Instagram and Facebook.
